Leucopogon lanceolatus, also called Leucopogon affinis, is a bush growing to about 1-1.5 metres. It has leaves of 8-10mm length which have clear venation. The flowers form in projecting spikes during spring and early summer and lead to the formation of pretty sprays of little egg-shaped orange drupes. These are very attractive to birds.
Being widely spread these plants are found throughout the Mountains, commonly in wooded semi-shaded areas but they are quite hardy, growing well and surviving the frosts of the Upper Mountains.
