Gahnia sieberiana,  Red Fruited Saw Sedge is a wonderful specimen plant for the garden. This magnificent sedge grows to about 2 metres. The flower stems give rise to a large brush of black flowers which later look even more beautiful being covered in bright orange/red seeds. It occurs in swampy areas in all parts of the mountains.
