Banksia oblongifolia

This is a multi-stemmed shrub reaching 2-3metres which favours a position in full sun or dappled shade, good drainage and some extra water in very dry spells. The flowers, which occur in autumn and winter, can be various shades of blue-grey or greenish yellow in bud, opening to yellow. The species regenerates by re-growth from a ligno-tuber after fire, as well as from seed.
