Acacia elata, the cedar wattle, likes to grow in moist rainforest and wet sclerophyll forest and can reach to 30m in good conditions.

It is a relatively long-lived wattle with handsome dark green foliage. It produces masses of creamy blossoms in mid-summer. The attractive timber is close-grained, strong and hard and is suitable for carpentry or turning.
