Please ... if you can spare an hour or two to help out next Tues 18th July or Wed 19th July, or the week after, to clean Banksia seeds, we would love to see you! We are preparing for our spring seed sowing.
This is not a hard task but it is time consuming for our small band of regular volunteers, who have plenty of other important jobs to do too. The seeds need to be separated from all the other bits that come out of the cones that have already been opened with heat or fire. See the photo of Richard at work with the blowtorch!
Please just come along between 10am and 2pm on the days as above if you can help. Email us if you need any further details, thanks. Go to Contact page here
Just a heads up we will also organise a working bee day to give some much needed attention to our own gardens at Clairvaux. This will be on a weekend in late August or September. Date to be advised. Email us if you are interested and we can let you know when the day is decided on.
