Lomatia silaifolia: Crinkle bush.
This beautiful plant grows to about 1metre or to two metres if bearing its tall graceful flower stalks. Belonging to the same group as the Grevilleas the delicate cream spider type flowers form in pairs, on a long erect spike during summer. The leaves are very deeply dissected which adds to the delicate appearance of the plant.
Lomatia grows in sandy soils in both open and shady places. It is spread throughout the Mountains.
